Injuries will keep both Skrtel and Aurelio out of the match while Maxi Rodriguez will be missing due to his ineligibility to feature in the Europea League for Liverpool. The visitors will be without defenders Debuchy and Plestan while their attacking options have been diminished with the news that both Gervinho and Melo will be out for the trip to England. Although not one of the biggest names in Europe, Lille will be no easy task for the former Euro champions with the Ligue 1 team holding 5th place in France and coming fresh off defeating Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the last round of the competition. A 1-1 draw with Saint Etienne at the weekend meant that LOSC failed in an opportunity to overtake Marseille in the league, however the side are still big favourites to gain nother European spot for next season. Lille will give a chance to some of their fringe players with Debuchy, Gervinho and Tuilo de Melo all likely to be missing for tonight’s encounter.

Tottenham youngster Jamie O’Hara has returned from a successful loan from struggling Portsmouth and will likely get a place in the team. O’Hara has a decent spell with Portsmouth putting in key performances in midfield for Portsmouth.
