FC Twente kept the chase on as they look to catch up with PSV Eindhoven with a 2-0 win over Excelsior last weekend. A brace scored by Janssen was enough to see Twente leave Rotterdam with the three points in front of a small crowd at The Woudestein Stadium. PSV Eindhoven increased their winning streak to a 10 match unbeaten run with a 1-0 home win over Utrecht. A second half goal from Otman Bakkal was enough to give PSV the points in front of over 33,000 fans at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven.

PSV and Twente last faced each other in the KNVB Beker in early 2011. A 1-1 draw played out with Twente taking the lead through Janssen in the 70th minute. A 93rd minute equalizer from Koevermans however pushed the match to extra time and eventually penalty kicks. The home crowd erupted as Twente left with a 7-6 win in the drama of the spot kicks. The two sides last league encounter in the Eredivisie was late last year when PSV Eindhoven fell in a home defeat to the club from Enschede. A second half goal from Chadli secured a 1-0 win from Twente and a repeat score line this weekend will be enough to take FC Twente back to the top of the Dutch league.
